Advice on safe travel and required vaccinations is given by our practice nurses.
If you are travelling abroad and are unsure if you require travel vaccinations our Practice Nurse is able to advise you. Please make telephone appointment with any Practice Nurse to discuss this. The Nurse will advise you of any vaccinations you require and make the necessary arrangements for you to be given the vaccines.
Please also bear in mind that some of the vaccination schedules take several months to complete prior to travel. Whilst some of the travel medicine is available on prescription, others require a private prescription and the full cost of the drug is borne by the patient. Private prescriptions are required for: malaria tablets, hepatitis B and yellow fever.
